Introduction

Dear Parents and Swimmers: Thank you for registering for our 2012 Winter Camp in Mount Kisco, New York! The information on this page is VERY IMPORTANT, so please read it thoroughly, complete the mandatory online form, and feel free to contact us with any questions.

Camp will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester at:

Camp Check-in

Camp Check-in and Orientation for both swimmers and parents will take place in the aquatics foyer of the Boys and Girls Club. Swimmers will start camp immediately following, and should arrive wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.

MONDAY • February 20 • 7:30 am - 8:00 am


Camp Finale

Camp concludes with our Gold Star Awards Ceremony, conducted near the pool deck. Parents are encouraged to attend and should plan to pick-up their children promptly afterwards.

FRIDAY • February 24 • 2:45 pm - 3:00 pm

DELIVERY OF ITEMS

Private Coaching: Session dates/times are designated by Coach Baker, and the schedule is posted at Camp Check-In.

Video Analysis: Session dates/times are designated by Coach Baker, and the schedule is posted at Camp Check-In. The final written summary and online video are emailed within three weeks of camp conclusion.

Motivational Book, 101 Winning Ways: Books are picked up at Camp Check-In.

Note: Private Coaching and Video Analysis sessions are scheduled around the coaches' availability (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.).

Registration Forms

In order for a swimmer to participate in camp, the mandatory HEALTH & RELEASE FORM must be completed and signed in entirety BEFORE camp commences. The online camp form is easy to complete and available 24 hours/day for your convenience at:

PLEASE NOTE: It is not necessary to complete the online TRAVEL FORM for this day camp location.


What to Bring

Below is a suggested list of equipment and apparel. Peak Performance Swim Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. DO NOT bring valuable items to camp with you - such as iPads, iPods, digital cameras, or portable game systems.


Parents Visiting Camp

Parents are welcome to observe any of the in-water or dryland training sessions.


Snacks & Beverages

A catered lunch will be served Monday through Friday. Water bottles will be given to all campers and a water cooler will be available on the pool deck. Campers may also bring their own sports drink and/or healthy snacks to camp.


PEAK 1 Camp

The PEAK 1 Camp is our most challenging camp and provides a 75/25 blend of physical and technical conditioning. Pool sessions will focus on quality speed and endurance training with the balance of time spent on learning advance start, stroke and turn technique. Daily mental conditioning classes are also offered. All pool sessions have a 6:1 swimmer to coach ratio.


PEAK 2 Camp

The PEAK 2 Camp offers a 50/50 balance between technical and physical conditioning. Each in-water session includes a series of advanced start, stroke, and turn progressions for technical conditioning. Daily mental conditioning classes are also offered. Pool sessions have an 8:1 swimmer to coach ratio.


Daily Schedule

Head Coach Nick Baker's unique training approach conditions the whole swimmer - mentally, technically and physically!


  8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  – Dry Land

  9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  – Swim

  11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  – Catered Lunch

  12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  - Yoga or Mental Edge Class Session

  1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  – Swim

 

Camp runs Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The schedule varies slightly on the first and last day of camp. See Camp Check-In and Camp Finale for further information. A catered lunch will be served to campers on all days.
